In a music career spanning more than 30 years, US-born Soul legend Alexander O’Neal is reputedly the best singer to come from the 80s Soul era. The strength of his material and his robust voice can be heard on releases, including his 1985s debut solo album Alexander O’Neal, 1987s number two R&B album Hearsay, and 1991s number three hit All True Man. O’Neal racked up several Top Ten R&B singles during the 80s and 90s, including two smash duets with R&B singer Cherrelle: “Saturday Love” and “Never Knew Love Like This.” His solo singles, sometimes dealing with lost love, include, “If You Were Here Tonight,” “Fake,” “Criticize,” “The Lovers,” and “(What Can I Say) to Make You Love Me.” Alexander O’Neal, never shy with his pumping dance floor burners and slinky couch-cuddlers, still has an undying passion to perform.
