The Lara Price Band
It all started in 1998 when Lara walked into the weekly blues jam at JJ’s Blues in San Jose and signed up to perform. Within a year, Price was running the blues jam at JJ’s. These weekly sessions provided a base of extremely talented musicians, and that’s where Price found Garth Webber (Miles Davis) on guitar, Paul Olguin (Elvin Bishop) on bass, Tony Stead (Sly and the Family Stone) on keys, Derrick Martin (Little Richard) on drums. The Lara Price Band made their first major festival debut at the legendary Monterey Blues Festival. They’ve toured across the U.S. as well as China, recorded a total of five albums, and shared the stage with Etta James, James Brown, Buddy Guy, and Leon Russell.
