Accomplished pianist, bass player, and saxophonist, Tunde Lasode is a musical jack-of-all-trades. His influences range from Jazz musicians Grover Washington, Jr. and Charlie Parker to more soulful acts like Lionel Richie and the Neville Brothers. When interviewed about his album, I Am Tlas (Unstoppable), he said, “You’ll find that my music is explosive, inclusive, stimulating, diverse, and inspiring. Expect a blend of style and culture, mixed with…a dynamic use of language.” For his upcoming EP, Tunde mixed his native language, Yoruba, with English to create what he calls “intercontinental R&B.” The title track, “Iwoni,” or “You’re the One,” was recorded at Fantasy Studios, one of Northern California’s most renowned recording studios.
