It’s that time of year… Hot Fun In The Summertime…. Its one show you do not wanna miss. We always wanna take you Higher!!!!
Based out of the Bay Area, created by Nathan Owens, “Dance To The Music” is a authentic tribute to Sly and The Family Stone. They recreate the music that energized Woodstock and stages around the world. The work of Sly and the Family Stone greatly influenced the sound of subsequent American funk, pop, soul, R&B, and hip hop music. Music critic Joel Selvin sums up the importance of Sly and the Family Stone’s influence on African American music by stating “there are two types of black music: black music before Sly Stone, and black music after Sly Stone. “Dance To The Music” is a very high energy experience with amazing vocals and top notch musicianship, and choreography. Nathan Owens channels the grooves of Sly, along with his own family who fill out the rest of the band. For the past several years, this band has won over audiences throughout California…. Its one show you do not wanna miss. We always wanna take you Higher!!!!
